Desert sunset

Clicking the pics can be an enlightening experience.

There was a pretty sunset last night.

Normally I don't take multiple snapshots of the same thing but since this sunset covered the entire sky as it progressed, I felt it deserved more than one view.

A brief update on my mouse problems. The situation hasn't changed, no mouse sign, bait hasn't been touched, traps unsprung. I'm almost to the point where I'm starting to believe it's possible the problem has solved itself and even a grubby rodent is unable to survive anywhere near the old boondork.... Maybe I should shave.

I am very pleased to report that the 10 day forecast is calling for high temperatures in the mid-70s, and 50s at night with daytime humidities in the teens.  I consider this muy perfecto; as I casually throw out a Spanish phrase giving the impression that I may be fluent in the language.

I've been hankering to get some pictures of the Air Force jets flying over me on their bombing runs but so far not much luck. There were plenty of planes flying around yesterday but they were all so high that I couldn't even see them. Sometimes they do that, and sometimes they fly low right over the old rodeo arena, it just depends on what they're practicing and where.
