And yet another chilly, cloudy, rainy, day in southern New Mexico.
Today has been the worst of the cloudy days that I've had. Not only has it been socked in the entire day without a hint of sunshine, but it's rained most of the day. These last four days remind me of Washington or Oregon weather not New Mexico weather. And tomorrow is supposed to continue like this until afternoon when the sun is finally supposed to come out.
I only went outside once today, and just for a few minutes to get something out of the truck and to take a picture. Other than the coastal areas of Washington and Oregon I can't remember a time when I've seen four or five days straight of almost no sunshine. But now that I have I can say with a great amount of certainty that I don't like it.
But it is an excellent test of my solar system. And I couldn't ask for a better place to be than The Ranch to test my solar system this way, because if things went bad for me and I was running out of power I could very easily pull the trailer over into a full hookup spot and be living normal again in a matter of minutes. But so far I'm still hanging in there, I'm still having to conserve my electricity, and I'm really looking forward to tomorrow afternoon when the sun is supposed to come out again. But I've still got enough power to live on if I don't waste it.
