I remember the phrase "blouse your shirt". That means to pull it out of the waist band a bit rather than tuck it in tightly. It took me years to understand what that actually meant, though. Now I just don't tuck in my shirt at all. Much easier.

Some folks in the military, depending on what the uniform of the day was, bloused there pants where they tuck into their boots. In the Air Force we didn't do much blousing, although the APs [air police] bloused their khaki uniform pants, but not their dress blues if I remember correctly.
