So glad you got some rodeo time in. Your love for it comes across in your photos....they are really, really fine. I must say, that last kid looks extremely calm for the position he's in.

Thank you, Judith, I really appreciate that. I do enjoy watching the rodeo, especially when it is not a professional rodeo where the participants make huge amounts of money for doing what they do, watching high school kids do it strictly for the love of the rodeo. They win belt buckles and ribbons; if they're good, they might win a saddle. But they do what they do because they enjoy it, and I think that shows in what they do.

For the last year I have been paying attention to my cost of travel to places and have found the cost significant and worth rethinking some of my free or cheap spots travel costs. I do not have a good feel for it all yet thanks to all my rig troubles keeping me in Alabama over four months extra this fall. But it is on my PAY ATTENTION list when I do get to roll.

I used to keep records of things like that, but things change so rapidly that a few years later my records were useless. And the Pima County Fairgrounds is a good example of that. Last year I stayed there for weeks, and this year's price increases have got me going somewhere else.

I was thinking about how challenging it must be to get pictures of those faces while they are moving. You do an amazing job! Thanks for bringing us along.
