easing on down the road tomorrow morning

There are numerous paths you can take at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, and this one takes you through Queen Creek Canyon and along Queen Creek.

I drove into town this morning and filled up the truck with fuel anticipating leaving in the morning for Ben Avery's gun range. So today has been a packing up and getting ready to go in the morning kind of day. It's less than 100 miles to Ben Avery's so it won't be much of a trip. I'm just hoping they have a place for me where I won't have to be around any crowds.

Speaking of crowds, this week at SKPs has been one of my least favorites that I've ever spent at an escapees RV Park, and it's all because of the crowds. Normally I'm either alone or almost alone in the SKPs boondocking area. But this time since the park is full with no hookup sites available everybody is coming to the boondocking area to wait for a hookup site to open up which means not only is it crowded around me but people are constantly coming and going in their RVs, it's kinda like boondocking in a Walmart parking lot without the convenient shopping.

This is a homesteader's house that a family built, lived in and raised fruits and vegetables along Queen Creek. Later on Boyce Thompson bought up this farmers land and turned it into part of his Arboretum. and yes the back wall of the cabin is the cliff.

The stone cabin has three rooms, this one room is the living room and the kitchen. A family of five lived and made a living right here in this house. It was nothing fancy but it provided everything a homesteader needed to raise a family and survive a hostile environment.

When I first started walking around the State Park I figured I would be the weirdest person there, but much to my surprise I saw someone that made me look normal. I don't know if those dreadful Dreads were real or not and I was afraid to get close enough to find out, but I swear I saw a badger peeking out.
