Rental boats, for tourist to go running up and down the Colorado River. There's also cabanas right on the boat dock that you can rent by the hour or the day. Imagine what this place looks like during spring break.
Well another holiday comes and goes, and now the real holiday season comes roaring into our lives, accompanied by inane music that will be played incessantly everywhere we go. Endless advertising imploring us to buy useless items with money we don't have. All the while seldom mentioning the real reason we celebrate Christmas. I suppose that sounds terribly cynical, but it comes from being old enough to remember what Christmas used to be.
I didn't do much of anything today, I just hung around the Arctic Fox and thought about all the projects I should be doing but continue to put off until I'm in the mood. But when you're lazy working moods are hard to come by and very brief in their lifespan.
For instance I still have a brand-new Fantastic Vent Fan that I want to put in the bathroom that I bought before I went full-time, and I'm STILL carrying it around in its box. I have a brand-new fancy, homestyle, kitchen faucet that I would like to install, it's still in its box laying under the bed, I'm waiting for the mood to hit me. And then there's a couple of motorcycle projects that I would like to do to the little Beta 250, I've got all the pieces, I just not in the mood.
The only good that can come of this is I'll probably never die..... Because I'm enjoying life so much I'll never be in the mood.
