Night time at the Hot Rod show.... Much better, much cooler, and I could stay much longer.

I left Laughlin, Nevada, after breakfast this morning, the Hot Rod show was over, and most folks were long gone except a couple of Hot Rods that were parked a few yards away from my boondocking spot.

I pulled into a boondocking area south of Lake Havasu at lunch and made myself at home. I'll spend the night here for sure, but if it's peaceful and quiet, I may stay longer just to rest up from the hustle and bustle of Laughlin.

I enjoy events like the Big Sandy machine gun shoot and the Hot Rod show, but after all the activity, I feel like I need to relax for a while and just enjoy the feeling of having no place to go and nothing to do... Because those are two of my favorite things.

2nd place in cuteness was this cutie, she could've won 1st but I don't think anybody knew what she was dressed up as But I believe it was a llama.

Winner of the couple's contest. They dressed up as Bonnie and Clyde's great-grandparents. And since they were driving an model "A" Ford the costumes were perfect.

The Hot Rod Show Is over, the trophies have all been given out, and people are starting to pull out and head home.

So, it's not just your grandkids you take great photos of.
And the pink flamingo or swan girl has some nice brothers' too...or at least you make them look nice. And of course there is the llama angel.

Thank you for complementing my pictures. I tend to take better pictures when I'm not struggling to find a subject.

I'm having a great time Judith, and so far I think it's because traveling, which was somewhat stressful for me pulling the trailer, is now just as simple as driving my truck, in other words its stress free. So when I feel like going somewhere I no longer have to worry about, do I feel like pulling the trailer that far, now I just come and go whenever I feel like it.

Yes, peace and quiet after hustle and bustle are necessities of life. I'm glad you know where to find both.

I know where to find both, and I also know when I need both. And mostly what I need is peace and quiet, but I can deal with some hustle and bustle... But not too much, for too long.

And maybe that's why like Colorado, there's a lot of places in Colorado where peace and quiet comes natural. And the same can be said for Arizona. You may notice I don't write about the joys of being in downtown Phoenix. But once you get away from Phoenix, as you well know, there's a lot of peace and quiet.

And speaking of peace and quiet, I'm looking forward to getting back to Quartzsite pretty soon. Even though there's a lot of people there, the area is so big it's easy to be alone no matter how crowded it is.

Quartzsite used to be one of my favorite places to work on my RVs, but when Herbs Hardware store closed it's hard to find RV bits and pieces I need which is one of the reasons I'm going to spend a little time in Parker when I work up the ambition to move.

I have family in Phoenix so I get there every once in a while but I'm sure glad to head back to Quartzsite. I also prefer Parker to Lake Havasu. Now I have friends in Havasu who built a house with three RV hookups with drive through capabilities but they did that after I stopped RVing. Oh, well. I enjoy seeing their pictures of friends gathered there.

Phoenix is one of those cities that seems to grow exponentially every year. If you haven't been there for a while, it's hard to find your way around when you go back because it grows so fast, patches of desert seem to become condos in the blink of an eye. I do have to wonder where is the water going to come from for all these lawns, golf courses, and swimming pools.

Havasu is growing pretty fast also, but there's a lot of BLM land, and school lands around Havasu that kind of limits how big it can get. And of course with the Colorado River on the west side that limits its growth in that direction.

I like Parker, to me it's one of those towns that has everything I need but its not too big to get around in. Right now Parker is not crowded at all, there's even plenty of parking at the Walmart. And most of the other places I've been is the same. I guess the snowbird season hasn't kicked off yet.

How about a few photos of the interior of the rig? I've seen photos in ads but not one where someone is actually living in it.

I saw someone complimented you on your photos of the Halloweeners. They were right on; very nice photos of those weird car guys and gals. Thanks for posting them.

Well thank you Don, it always makes me feel good when someone likes my pictures.

That's actually a really good idea about taking photos of the interior of the bronco. I've considered it before, but looking around me at the cluttered mess that is my tiny home makes it very difficult for me to aim a camera at it and make it public. And currently I'm too lazy to try and straighten it all up.

But since you've expressed an interest in seeing the inside of the bronco, it does seem like a good idea.... So here's what I'm gonna do. I'm probably going to head down to Parker Arizona tomorrow, and while there I will make a special effort to straighten up as much as possible the inside of the bronco to make it as photogenic as I can, which is not going to be easy considering how much stuff it takes to keep me comfortable living in this tiny home.

So thanks for the suggestion, with a little luck, and a lot more ambition, I'll post some pictures of the inside of the bronco later this week
