The moon rising over the Marina.... For some strange reason the marina ended up looking like a Carnival Lines cruise ship.
The exodus of the holiday crowd from Elephant Butte State Park began about 8:30 this morning, then after a couple of hours tapered off to almost nothing, and after lunch began again in earnest.
It's good to have the peace and quiet back again but like I mentioned yesterday most of the problems comes from being boondocked close to the main road, but there's no way around that if you want to boondock up on the ridge.
I had considered going into T or C this morning and taking some pictures of old buildings but there was so much Easter traffic on the road I decided against it and just stayed hunkered down until the holidays completely over.
With all of these folks hitting the road it brought to mind that I'll be leaving this week. At this point in time I don't have any idea where I might go, or even where I want to go. It's starting to get pretty warm around here, mostly in the 80s but next week there's supposed to be a couple days in the 90s, so it looks like I will at least be heading North to find some cooler weather.
It appears this will be the last holiday of my 2018-2019 winter travels since I plan on being boondocked in my daughter's yard in Denver before Memorial Day. Holidays wouldn't be such a problem for me if I were like most folks and lived in RV Parks and made reservations ahead of time. I would just have to be at a certain place at a certain time and be assured of a place to stay. But then I would always have to be someplace for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and Easter, and I don't even know where I want to be next week much less months from now.... Anyway I'm far too lazy to live by a schedule, and too much of a procrastinator to ever get around to making one.
