There's a lot of things that I could get done, installing a vent fan would surely be one, but lack of ambition I'm unable to nix, so the only thing left is to click all the pics.

Sounds like some good times ahead for you....and a nice enough time lately. That's nice. Cripple Creek was a busy place when I first saw it in the '80's. Not like Victor, where I really did love the view.

Yeah Judith, back in the 1890s Cripple Creek was where a lot of the mining big shots lived, and that's where the banks, the majority of stores and of course the fancy hotels were. And Victor was a working man's town where a lot of the miners lived. And something you might not know, Cripple Creek always had a law that you couldn't mine in the city limits. But Victor didn't have that law so back in the day some of the buildings, and the roads fell into the shafts and stopes of the local mines.

Back when we lived full time in a motorhome we started fall one year in Maine and traveled so slowly heading south that we had colorful leaves around us for a couple of months! It was lovely. No more life in the fast lane was lovely, too.

That's the same thing that happens to me when I'm heading South Linda, fall just lingers on for a month or two. Of course nothing can compare to the kind of fall colors y'all get up in the Northeast. About as close as I've ever come to that is being in the Smoky Mountains during the Fall. Views were incredible, but the crowds were unbelievable.
