I didn't get much of anything done today, my biggest accomplishment was walking to the dumpster with my bag of trash. But that's something because the dumpsters are about a quarter mile away. I always take my camera with me so I took a couple of pictures of some RVs that I thought were interesting. It's kind of a good thing that I had a relaxing day today because tomorrow I have to drive 35 miles to the Parker Walmart. The drive isn't too bad, but the crowds at Walmart are. When I was at Walmart last week I heard loud music being played in the parking lot and saw this busload of rainbow people. They were singing and dancing and seem to be having a good time. But it made me wonder what are they contributing to society, I know society is contributing to them because they look well fed but what are they giving back. There's a lot to be said for Freedom and living your life the way you want to live it, that's probably the reason a lot of us old folks live in RVs and travel the way we do. But I think it's better for society as a whole if we earn that freedom, after all a lot of people have died giving us that right. We were all young once and more than likely did some pretty stupid things, but these folks didn't seem all that young, they looked old enough to me to actually be doing something useful with their lives. But who knows, maybe they were all on their way to Med school to become Doctors and start becoming givers instead of takers, producers instead of users, and responsible citizens instead of parasites. All I know for sure is that I'm really tired of seeing working people's money taken from them and given to those who don't want to work.

Dad the rainbow tribe or as we used to call them in Boulder, the Trustafarians, are clearly on their way to Burning Man ... 7 months too early...

It would be hard for me to believe that the group I saw were living on trust funds from their parents, I would have a hard time believing that they even had parents. From what I could tell it seemed like they made their money from panhandling. As the bus went through town it would drop one or two of them off on almost every corner where they would beg. Then the rest would wait in the Walmart parking lot singing and dancing while some of them shopped, and on the way out of town they would pick up the others. As much as I hate to say it, it does look like they're learning a skill that is very useful in the America we have now.
