I made it to Wickenburg this morning, and I'm dry camped in Constellation City Park. I would prefer to be Boondocking right now but I wanted to be close to downtown because I'll probably spend a lot of time going back and forth because of all the things going on in town, and this park is only about two or three miles from downtown Being in Constellation Park is a lot like Boondocking, there are no hookups and your camped in the dirt in the desert. The difference between this and Boondocking is, there's RVs all around me, it's noisy, and I'm paying eight dollars a night to stay here. But I chose this place because there's going to be a rodeo this weekend and the rodeo arena is right across the street from where I'm camped. So I can walk back and forth from the Arctic Fox to the rodeo arena without having to deal with any traffic. After I turned the Arctic Fox into a home I went to Safeway to pick up a few things and, HOLY COW! Their prices are high. For the last month or so I've been shopping at the Walmart in Parker and I had gotten used to Walmart prices, so coming here to a town without a Walmart I'm amazed at what the grocery stores can get away with without any real competition. There's a Bashas' Grocery store in town but their prices are just as bad if not worse than the Safeway.
Last time I was here I made a couple of videos about the Boondocking spots north of Wickenburg up near Congress. This time I'm going to look at some places south of Wickenburg that I've heard about and see what the roads look like going to them. I'm also thinking that maybe I should do a video of Constellation City Park where I'm staying, After all it is a Boondocking location. But it has Boondocking sites laid out like an RV Park so you cant just Park anywhere or anyway you want. So I don't know if I should call it a real Boondocking area or not, I'll have to give that some thought. theboondork
