So far it is three excellent calls on lightening the load.

I use the back seat of my truck for storage also, I even removed half of the split seat that's in the back. But I don't have any shelves or drawers or anything that would allow me to maximize the potential of the room in the back seat.

Ha. You must be trolling in your comment about females. Are you bored or bummed out? Surely you're not the rose that can't sleep well and is old and faded out. You've said you can sleep no matter what.

Maybe a tiny bit of trolling the females, but mostly serious because I don't think they're going to like what I'm thinking about getting rid of in tomorrows post.

Technically, I didn't have a table in my van. I did have a counter top installed at desk height for my computer and I did end up eating most of my meals there but I intended it to be a desk, not a table, with a real desk chair so I could sit there comfortably for hours.

I would say, if you're Dave wants to cook, more power to em. I never got the hang of it myself, but I can appreciate those that do.

I got rid of my winter coat. I have an unlined windbreaker that doubles as a raincoat. I have a polar fleece jacket that works when it's cool but not cold. I wear the windbreaker over the polar fleece when it's actually cold. I do have a knit hat, lined gloves, and a scarf to add to that when needed. And I can pull the windbreaker's hood up over the knit hat for extra warmth. But, I do wish I had kept my silk long underwear as I missed it when sitting around campfires with friends--jeans are NOT good insulators.

Very good Linda, that's a lot of good information, just the kind of things a fellow boondocker would know.
