Going camping today looked like it was more work than I thought

Yesterday I was leaning towards going camping for a couple of days, but I talked myself out of it.

It's always a pain to load up the bronco with the stuff I need to camp for a couple of days. But now I not only need to put my normal stuff in the bronco, I've also got to straighten out the mess that's in it because of all the work I've been doing before I'll be able to sleep in it, and accomplishing all of that sounded like more work than I'm willing to deal with.

I still have to go to Colorado Springs on business, but as long as I don't have to sleep in the bronco, I can leave it just as messy as it is now.

I've got things to do to the bronco to get it ready to live in, and I'm better able to get something like that done while I'm parked in my daughter's driveway than out in the mountains somewhere without access to the tools I need.

When it comes to working on the bronco, I've been "pacing myself." And in this instance, pacing myself means I work a little and relax a lot. By doing that, I don't get burned out working all day on the bronco to the point I want to put off getting the jobs done.

So what I've been doing is thinking of two or three simple things I can do to make the bronco more livable, and accomplishing  simple tasks like that don't tire me out. That way, I see progress being made, making me want to do it again the next day instead of dreading waking up in the morning and having to deal with the bronco.

I've still got plenty of time to get everything done if I can just keep chipping away at it, especially since I have no particular leaving date in mind; I figure it will be roughly the middle of October, but in actuality, it will be whenever the broncos ready to take me boondocking in comfort.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, this is what the inside of the bronco looks like while I'm working on it. Putting it back together is going to take some time, and when that's done, I would have to load it up with the stuff I need to live in it for a couple of days, and all that's just more trouble than it's worth

I took some pictures when I was coming back from Colorado Springs to Denver today. I always take the back way instead of Interstate 25. There's almost no traffic and the scenery is much prettier. I left the Springs today just after lunch and it was still only 58°, Fall is definitely in the air.
