"Et Tu, Brute?" Said Julius Caesar shortly after learning his best friend Marcus Brutus had also clicked the pics.
Same sunset as above, different view.

Your comment about a watch reminded me of an experiment Robert Fulgham made one day. Instead of strapping on his watch he strapped on a compass. Sounds to me like something you would do. Or something I would do.

That's great! I think a lot of married folks would get along a lot better if they didn't have to live a life that their partner wants them to, especially after they've retired. Some couples do okay living as one, but most people change, which is a good thing because I would hate to think I'm the same today that I was 40 or 50 years ago.

Dave and I married at age nineteen so we had to learn early on how to let one another grow up. There were some challenging years in there but after more than a half century together we are blessed to pretty much have it down now.

Wow that's great! It's also very rare. The thing about "letting one another grow up" probably had a lot to do with your success. You both should be proud of that. Yes you are blessed, the first 50 years is always the hardest, but once you "have it down" the second 50 is a piece of cake.
