Happy Fourth of July everyone!

Sunsets in the "burbs" just isn't the same as sunsets in the desert. But you have to play the hand you're dealt.

Usually, my daughter and son-in-law would have some kind of a big to-do planned for the 4th of July holiday, but due to the Bat flu, things will be a lot more subdued. And that suits me just fine the fewer people I have to be around the better. Not only because of the Bat flu but because of my usual aversion to being around people that I don't know. Often because my conversation with folks I don't know sometimes goes like this....

Lady ... Excuse me sir, this is a private party.

Me... It's okay, I'm a relative, that's my daughter over there.

Lady...I'm sorry, I thought you were a homeless bum that wandered in looking for food.

Me... I'm not really homeless. I live in the trailer parked in the driveway.

Lady ... Oh! I'm so sorry, don't give up hope on yourself there's always a chance you can turn your life around.... Wanders off with a tear in her eye.


I spent some more time getting the little Bronco camper ready to be used this Summer. When I left here last fall, I took some things out of the Arctic Fox that I didn't think I would need and stored them in the little Bronco. Now I'm taking those things out of the little Bronco and storing them in the Arctic Fox... I think there's something wrong with that scenario, I'm not sure what, but it seems like there should be a trashcan somewhere between the Arctic Fox and the little Bronco.
