I had my cooling system drained, flushed and the fluid replaced at around every 100K miles on my diesel since I did LOTS of towing back then.

I had that done to my cooling system about 50,000 miles ago so my antifreeze still looks fine, I don't do much driving anymore.

Yep fluids and lubricants are critical components to safe operation.

Since basically everything is a critical component when you're driving down the highway, that is one of the most important reasons why I've been feeling its necessary to drastically cut back on all those critical components by divesting myself of the trailer, so that my only critical components are in the vehicle I'm driving.

Oh hah to the last photo. That is VERY well done, even if a bit creepy. I sure hope I don't find one of those things on my alliums. Prior photos of the alleged to be mundane irises were very nice indeed.

Thank you Judith, I do the best I can with my limited abilities. Well you need to be very careful about who you let near your Alliums, I know I am. I'll just be glad when some other flower hatches out because at the moment I'm overrun with Irises.

Those engines and car innards are not what they used to be as well....all computer diagnostics these days. Not many shade tree mechanics around any more.

You are exactly right, and I used to be the shadiest of the shade tree mechanics. As cars and trucks started making the move to electronics and computers I took less and less interest in repairing them. And then when I got my first diesel engine, I was really out of my league and couldn't do much of anything except put fuel in it... You know them things don't even have spark plugs? How the heck is an engine supposed to run without spark plugs? Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
