I got this picture by taking a short walk through the woods.
I did a little walking while I was at the RMNP but not a whole lot. If God had meant for me to walk on trails that wander off into the deep woods he wouldn't have given me an off-road motorcycle. But since the honchos at the RMNP don't allow motorcycles off-road it limited how far in the woods I wanted to go.
There are trails in the RMNP for just about every skill level..... Except mine. If the length of a trail exceeds the distance between my easy chair and the bathroom, and has an elevation gain of more than the four steps that it takes to get into the Arctic Fox, the difficulty level has exceeded my abilities to return safely.
But I will take a chance on some trails if there's a nice picture to be had along the way, and if there's enough people around to carry me back to the truck if I should happen to pass out.
This trail was a bit harder because of all the boulders but I'm still below timberline so It's not to bad.
That trail led up to the top of this Peak where there was a nice view.
