The wind was horrendous today, the temperatures were fine but the wind was blowing so hard the dust in the air completely hid the nearby mountains. And as usual that kept me, and apparently everybody else hunkered down in their RVs. I'm sure glad I didn't have to pull the Arctic Fox today because it would've been dangerous. Fortunately due to my lackadaisical scheduling I never have to pull the Arctic Fox when the weather is bad. I had planned on making a short video today by driving around the campground with my Go Pro on the front of the truck so everyone can see what the area and the boondocking sites look like. But as hard as the wind was blowing it was going to make taking video difficult at best. Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow and I'll give it a try them. My two-week stay here at the City of Rocks has almost come to an end. I believe Tuesday is the last day I can officially stay here, so I'm planning on leaving either Monday or Tuesday. I'm not quite sure exactly where I'm going yet but it will probably be Elephant Butte state Park or one of the other two state parks in the area, Percha Dam, or Caballo Lake State Park. There all three pretty close to the town of Truth or Consequences New Mexico, known locally as T or C. so I guess I'll figure it out when I get there. theboondork |
