I've started on the installation of my rearview camera for the little Bronco camper, and as with any professional installation the first step is always "preplanning".
Preplanning is often overlooked by the amateur do-it-yourselfers that don't fully understand the nuance of becoming mentally prepared to tackle a DIY project. This mental preparedness can often be the difference between success and failure when it comes to even the simplest project.
The rearview camera project is a good example of what would look to some amateur handyman as a simple one hour job, but without the proper mental preparation even a simple job like this could turn into a DIY nightmare that requires lots of time and money to redo properly.
So I always start any of my projects by sitting in my easy chair with a cold beverage close at hand, clearing my mind of any distractions, focusing like a laser on the job at hand, and slowly drift off into a deep meditative state.
I usually wake up just in time for dinner with a clear vision that tomorrow would be a good time to start preparing for my upcoming rearview camera project.
Knowing the proper time to start any project is the foundation on which all other steps are built, I suspect tomorrow will be a day of relentless effort and surprising accomplishments.
