Fortunately I only had to do that for three weeks before the house was sold. I'm not sure what made me happier the house being sold or not having to do any more showings, since both things happened at the same time I guess I'll never know.
After the house sold that's when the work really started, lucky for me the buyer needed time to deal with his house sale so we both agreed on having two months before the closing. I know that sounds like a lot of time and it seemed to me a lot of time in the beginning, but I had totally underestimated the quantity of all of my stuff. So every day stuff flew out the door, some went to the dump, some went to Goodwill, and some went to Craigslist, and between those three methods of disposal the house got emptied on October 23 at one o'clock the day of the closing----- and not one minute earlier.
