The day started off cloudy just like it's been for the last two days but after lunch it cleared up and looked more sunny and normal.
That put me in a mood to do something useful so I did a little maintenance on the Yamaha WR450. It was all just little stuff, check the oil, put some air in the rear tire, checked the engine mount bolts to make sure they were tight, and cleaned the air filter. The weather is supposed to get a little bit cooler next week so I think I will feel more like doing some trail riding.
I finally got around to putting an LED bulb in the "Scare light" on the right side of the Arctic Fox. I'm not exactly sure why they call it a Scare light, I've looked at it many times including at night without feeling the least bit scared, maybe now that its got an LED light in it it will be more scary. I know for sure it will be a lot brighter than the pitiful orange glow it put out before.
I changed the left side scare light to an LED a long time ago but since I never use the one on the right side I just never got around to changing it. I changed the porch light several years ago and put in a motion sensing LED light and that's been very handy. It not only uses very little electricity, but its very bright and comes on automatically so I don't have to remember to turn it off and on. It's one of those rare things that does it's job quietly in the background and you kind of forget it's there.
This old Saguaro is beaten and battered and taken everything that life could throw at it, and life obviously hasn't been kind.
But if you walk around behind you will find that the old Saguaro has not given up, it hangs on tenaciously to life, it has no choice, what else can it do.
