I hate making decisions because then I'm responsible if there wrong, but I finally got tired of studying all of the ins and outs of Verizon's unlimited data plan and forced myself to make a decision, actually I had to force myself, to force myself to make a decision.
The fact that I had run out of data last night and was going to have to wait a couple of days before getting a refill was one of the things that helped me make that decision. I don't know if this unlimited plan is going to solve all of my problems but I finally convinced myself that I would never find out in less I tried it for a while to see if it will work better than what I had.
This new plan is going to change the way I've done things since becoming a full-timer. I have always sat in my easy chair with my laptop on my lap, my phones hotspot turned on and worked on my blog, paid my bills, and watched movies on the Internet. And watching those things on the Internet was where 90 percent of my data was going.
Now with the new plan I've only got 15 gigs of hotspot data where before I had 30, but I've got "supposedly" unlimited phone data. So my new cunning plan is to use my limited hotspot data for important work on the Internet like posting to my blog, and use my phone for playing on the Internet and watching movies with my television acting as a monitor for the phone.
This is going to require a little juggling and a lot of getting used to. One problem I'm going to have to overcome is the HDMI cable coming from the TV plugs into an adapter on the phone that's plugged into the phone's charging port so I can't charge the phone and watch a movie at the same time, and watching movies eats up the phones battery kind of quick, how quick is yet to be determined.
I'll find a way to make it work even if it requires that I get up and do something useful while the phone charges instead of spending hours watching movies. After all as a boondocker I am if nothing else... Resourceful. lazy but resourceful.
