I made it safely out to my property this morning. The Road out here is very rough and you really notice it when you're pulling a trailer. There are several miles of washboard road and a couple of places where the tires are pretty close to a 4 foot drop off. It was bad enough that I'm not sure if I will leave here on the same road, I might just throw some boards over the culvert of doom and go out that way.
I got the Yamaha WR450 unloaded and rode it around some and it still feels really tall to me. I guess I'm just used to dirt bikes that you can sit on and touch the ground flat-footed with your knees bent. I can touch the ground flat-footed but I'm stretching to do it and it doesn't give me a secure feeling. I guess I will get used to, they tell me it will get a little lower as the shocks break in and settle. The Arctic fox is sitting in the middle of a field so it will get plenty of sunshine for the solar panels. I was going to take it up on a little hill where my new shooting bench is but is not very level up there and where I'm at now is. I may drag it up the hill to the shooting bench later if I feel like doing some serious shooting. theboondork
