Went to the Safeway this morning and bought about $90 worth of groceries, but I guess it would be more accurate to say I bought $60 worth of groceries and paid $90 for them, with no Walmart in the area to compete the two grocery stores in town get to charge whatever they want.
Because of the flu going around I wiped off the handle of my grocery cart with the provided wipes, avoided getting anywhere near the pharmacy area, and held my breath as long as I could around anyone that showed the slightest signs of a cough. I don't know if any that did any good but I think I set a world speed record for buying $90 worth of groceries.
I'm going to be heading out of Box Wash before the end of the week and easing on over to Quartzsite. I haven't been there for two years and I don't think it's changed very much but it's always fun to be back in town again. I don't think there's any place in the world you can find that many boondocker's living in peace and tranquility out in the desert together.... Except the ones with generators not so much peace and tranquility there.
For some reason when I'm living in the desert at Quartzsite I always feel like doing some kind of DIY project on the Arctic Fox. I'm not sure why that is, it just puts me in the mood.
It could be because they've got a great hardware store in town that specializes in RV repair parts and RV DIY projects. Or it might be all of the different vendors in town that sell everything imaginable for RVs including the RVs themselves. Whatever it is I've got some things I would like to do to the Arctic Fox and if I can't get up the ambition to do it there it may never get done.
