Yet another cloudy windy day in Tucson. It seems like the weather is conspiring against everyone that's trying to have a good time or as some folks might say, have "tooooo much fun". When the temperatures are comfortable the wind picks up and makes it to chilly, and if the wind's not blowing it's cloudy and rainy which raises the humidity and makes 65° feel cold. I can't catch a break.
I guess tonight is the big night that everybody waits for all year but all I know is that when I wake up in the morning nothing will have changed except my calendar. I've decided to forgo the gala black-tie events that I've been invited to in Hollywood California and Palm Beach Florida this year and just spend a quiet evening at home with a couple cases of champagne and 42 of my closest friends.
I don't have enough seating in the Arctic Fox for everyone to sit down so most folks will have to stand up and mingle. Since I'm in the boondocking area there's plenty of room outside to stand under the strings of Japanese lanterns I had flown in from Tokyo yesterday.
Someone asked the silly question of how could I attend party's in both California and Florida and I immediately knew I was dealing with someone that doesn't have their own jet, probably flies commercial and undoubtably "coach" .... How droll.
Speaking of calendars, a few years ago I found a calendar that I really liked, I had been using calendars that the bank gives you for free with pictures of mountains and flowers on them but they weren't big enough to be seen from across the room, and they didn't have enough space to write notes to myself about things that I need to do like what day I'm supposed to leave, and birthdays that I want to remember.
Then I found a calendar at Walmart that was just perfect. It's not pretty but I don't need it to be pretty I just want it to work for what I need a calendar for. You can see pictures of it down below.
My favorite calendar that I've used for the last three or four years. Available at Walmart for about five bucks.
This calendar has everything I want in a calendar. Big enough to see without putting my nose on it, and plenty of space to write things each day if I need to.
