I know where I'm going I just don't know when

Sunrise this morning. Yes I'm in a different spot. I like to change boondocking spots so I can get a different view of things.

Another beautiful day today, but yet again, the 50% humidity made the 60° temperature too chilly for a T-shirt.

I spent some time this morning driving around, taking a few pictures of the mountains and RVs around Quartzsite, and changing my location. One of the neat things about Quartzsite is how huge the boondocking areas are and how different some of them are. And since I like change, and I actually prefer waking up to a different view, I'm able to change boondocking spots every few days if I want, so I'm not always looking out my window at the same cactus. I guess that's just part of my love of travel, and if I don't want to drive somewhere far away, in Quartzsite, I can drive a couple of miles and be in a different boondocking area... And there's a lot to choose from.

Come to think of it, that may be why I enjoy being in Lake Havasu so much; It's the same situation. Havasu, like Quartzsite, has boondocking all over the place, so there's not only always a place to stay; you can move around within the Havasu area and find different boondocking areas to stay in whenever you feel like it.

And speaking of Lake Havasu, I'm going to head to Havasu next week; I'm unsure what day. I know I didn't want to leave on a weekend, but other than that, I'll go to Havasu whenever the mood hits me. I would like some time to hang around the areas up there and be able to get back to Ben Avery's gun range near the end of this month for the big cowboy shoot; that's always fun to watch.

Because of the cloudy rainy weather there was a nice rainbow this morning.

I like to walk around early in the morning, especially if it's cloudy.

This boondocking area is named "Hi Jolly" and is probably the most crowded free boondocking area in Quartzsite, just looking at this picture you can probably tell why I've only camped here for one night in the past few years.

The benefits are, it's only a couple of miles from downtown Quartzsite, it's about two miles from the RV Pitstop where you can dump your tanks... For a price. And only about a mile from the free trash transfer station.

 And the downsides are... Well, just look at it. It looks like a free RV Park. It's obviously for folks who like to boondock but don't want to be alone, maybe for safety reasons, maybe they just like to be around other folks. And I think what it shows is Quartzsite has something for everyone, you can boondock a mile from your nearest neighbor, or right next door, it's up to you, and there's nothing wrong with choices.
