View from the road going to Royal Gorge Canon city Colorado,
When I went to Canon city yesterday I also drove out to the Royal Gorge which is about a 14 mile drive from Canon city. I had no intention of paying to go into the Royal Gorge tourist attraction, "been there done that" because that cost about $25 and I just wanted to take a few pictures of the gorge. just before you get to ticket booth there's a pullover where you can Park and walk about 50 feet to an overlook and get really nice pictures of the gorge and the bridge.
Will bless their hearts if the royal gouge people hadn't put no trespassing signs up in that area so you couldn't even see the gorge without paying them $25. Wait a minute did I say "royal gouge"? I shouldn't say that, that sounds mean and they're probably not mean people, maybe a tad greedy but not mean.
So I took a few pictures of the scenery and the fire damage and came back home.

The other day We had a pretty good rainstorm at Haggard's RV campground but after it was over we were blessed with a beautiful rainbow that hung in the sky for a long time. And here's what it looked like from my campsite.
