Today cooled off a little, and only got up to 90° instead of the usual 95 or 96. I know that doesn't sound like much of a difference but it seems like 90° is about the maximum that I can be semi-comfortable in the Arctic Fox without air-conditioning.
It clouded up this afternoon which made it even more comfortable for me, I'm hoping that I will get a better nights sleep tonight because it will be a lot cooler. Last night was the first night that I've had to leave my two fantastic vent fans going all night. Normally I turn them off when I go to bed but last night it was too hot to be comfortable without some air moving around.
But I've survived the heat wave, and it's good to know that I can if I have to. Friday and Saturday are supposed to be in the low 80s for a high and that sounds very comfortable to me.
I'm leaving Sunday and lucky me there's an 80% chance of rain. Driving in the rain doesn't bother me in the least but I can't say the same for a lot of the people in Phoenix. These folks don't see much rain and when they do they go into a blind panic.
Some folks will go so slow that you would think they were driving on roads covered with ice. Others will drive way too fast, and since nobody around here has all weather tires, these people go hydroplaning off the road at 75 miles an hour usually taking out a few of the cars that are going 25 miles an hour. All of this over a light sprinkle and a slightly wet road.
I'm about 90% sure now that I'm going to be heading towards Tombstone Sunday, the weather there looks good for the near future, there's some things to do there, and that will put me heading in the direction of Colorado when I start my slow crawl North.
