I think next week I'll have a new view

One of my views

I'm thinking of moving to Quartzsite next week. Despite the fact that I still don't have my motorcycle seat yet I've got the urge to ease on down the road for a different view of the world. The "Big Show" will start in Quartzsite on the 20th of January and I think I'll get there before the big crowds hit.

There's one problem that folks are facing this year in Arizona and that's the flu. From what I hear on the news the flu is bad and getting worse, and apparently the flu shot I took is not good for this strain of the flu so I have a better chance of getting sick even after the shot.

Now if there's one place in Arizona that I think you could be guaranteed of catching the flu it would be in the big tent at the Big Show in Quartzsite. If you've never been there and done that before, picture a huge circus tent with vendors selling RV paraphernalia and people stuffed in the tent so tight you can only move when the people around you move, a veritable virus factory.

So this year I will forgo the crushing crowds of the big tent and spend time at the outdoor fleamarket type vendors, which they are many many acres of, and be in better control of the air I'm breathing.

The boondocking of course is no problem because I can get as close to or as far away from people as I want and since there's plenty of room for everyone I always look forward to boondocking at Quartzsite.

I will probably end up having to go to the Walmart at Parker Arizona and in my opinion a Walmart is the second best place in Arizona to get the flu. Maybe with any luck I can find a Hazmat suit at the flea market.
