I went shopping this morning

I took this picture the day before the moon was full.

I was considering moving to the north end of Lake Havasu to some BLM boondocking land over there, so I drove the 14 miles to check things out. It's a good thing I did because it was more crowded than I care to deal with, so I quickly changed my mind and decided to stay where I'm at for a while longer.

I've boondocked north of town several times before and don't ever remember seeing it this crowded. Maybe it's the time of year, or possibly the Bat flu, but whatever it is, it's probably going to get a lot worse when the RV factories finally get caught up on all the RVs that are on backorder right now.

While I was there, I stopped at Walmart and bought a few things, then went to Home Depot and only found one out of the three things I needed. I filled up the truck with diesel at $3.15 a gallon; It looks like over three dollars a gallon will be the norm for quite some time now. And since fuel always goes up during the summer, I don't see how it's going to get any better.

This shows the neck brace some of the motocross riders wear, especially the little guys. Your head can't move much, especially backwards. The kid looks like he's got a leg and a shoe on his back.

This is the BLM boondocking area I visited this morning. I forget what it's called, it's something like Lone Tree, Lone Pine, Lone Ranger, something like that. There were places I could park, but I wouldn't be any better off than I am now. I would only be a couple miles from Walmart. But I would be 13 miles from Sara Park.
