I wimped out

This picture shows the entire boondocking area where I'm at. The part where I'm boondocked is up on a little flat topped hill. And off to the right is an area that's about 20 or 30 feet below where I'm at that I've always called "the hole". There are usually fewer people in the hole because there's two short but steep roads going down to the bottom and there is a concern that you might not be able to get back out again.

I was pleasantly surprised today to see only a handful of ATVs driving through the area where we're all boondocked, and they were going slow enough that they weren't raising any dust or making excessive noise. Oh how I wish they would all show that much courtesy and common sense.

If you recall some of my posts from last year I complained about inconsiderate ATV owners that choose to play in areas where there's RVs boondocked making as much noise and dust as possible, giving no thought or concern for anyone's enjoyment but their own.

Now I have no problem with ATVs riding through areas where RVs are boondocked trying to get to someplace else to play, but an amazing amount of them even the ones operated by people old enough to know better speed past groups of RVs raising as much dust and making as much noise as possible, endangering people's pets, and people's lives that happen to be walking on the trail.

There are millions of acres of land where ATVs can play in the desert areas of Arizona, most of which are completely inaccessible by RVs. If the ATV people would simply drive slowly and safely when they're around boondocking RVs they would probably find there would be less complaints about their activities, and less laws passed in the future limiting their access to rideing areas.

I've poked around on the Internet the last couple of days trying to find the 8800L Verizon jetpack that I would like to buy and so far I can't find anyone that has it for sale including the Verizon website. I'm thinking that maybe Verizon has run out of them so I started looking for the previous top-of-the-line version called the 7730L  and I can't find one of those either.

My last hope is to visit one of the Verizon stores here in Lake Havasu and maybe they can explain to me what's going on. The problem is I think they are Verizon contract stores and not  corporate stores so I'm not sure how much help they will be.

I'm beginning to wonder if these problems I'm having has something to do with Verizon rolling out their new 5G Internet service in certain parts of the country. Oh well, at least now I've gained enough information so I'll at least know what questions to ask if I ever find someone with answers.

This is a close-up of "the hole". Due to the crowds up on top, when I first got here I seriously thought about going down into the hole where it's far less crowded and also pretty darn level. But after staring at the short steep roads that go down in there, considering the rather portly dimensions of the Arctic Fox, and discretion being the better part of valor, I wimped out and stayed with the crowd.
