Well, you'll figure something out about where to go or have an inspiration. Meanwhile, some of these spots look nice. You may already know most of them. https://pleinairjourney.com/2023/03/summer-camps-2022/

Thank you for that blog information Judith. Yes I've been to all those spots in Colorado, and will probably go again. Utah is still chilly this time of year and I've had enough chilly weather too last me for a while. I've been to a lot of places in New Mexico but obviously not all. I tend to gravitate to State Parks while in New Mexico mostly because I can boondock at New Mexico state Park's for free with my New Mexico camping pass. And the ever present Rangers keep the place secure. But I've never really felt all that safe in the New Mexico national forests, unlike Colorado where I love to stay in the national forests, and do so all the time. Out in the sticks in New Mexico I've always felt uneasy.

In Minnesota we have state forests as well. Back in our tenting days we spent a lot of time in them.

And I'm the same way about Colorado National Forests. But in New Mexico there are large groups of people, whom shall remain nameless, that aren't happy with people being on land that they perceive as there's. Not everyone of course, but it only takes a few to make some visitors feel unwelcome. Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
