Look at the yellow leaves on the aspen trees, it won't be long now till fall is here.
Today is packing up and getting ready to leave day. Tomorrow morning I'm going to start heading for Denver and plan on being there about next weekend so I can help my daughter and her husband move.
Tomorrow as far as I will get will be Colorado Springs where I plan on boondocking in the Bass Pro Shop's parking lot. On the way there I plan on stopping at a hardware store for some tiedown parts for the Yamaha WR 450 and a Walmart for a few groceries.
I'm looking forward to getting back to civilization again, and that's the neat thing about the way I live, I look forward to getting out in the woods by myself and then I look forward to being around people again. I look forward to winter coming so I can get back into the deserts or maybe the seashore this winter. And I look forward to summer to get back into the mountains again. I think it's a great way to live but I know it's not for everyone.
I'm sure there are a lot of people that would think living in a little trailer and not having an actual home to go to would be a miserable way to live. But for me at this point in my life I think it's just about perfect. I imagine if I were younger working people would look at me and think of me as a bum but since I'm old and retired the people I talk to wish they could do what I'm doing.
This picture is not very good because I took it through a window screen but these little striped chipmunks are very shy and hard to get a picture of. They're only half the size of a regular chipmunk but they're so cute that when I saw him climbing on the Yamaha cover I had to take his picture.
