I climbed up a little hill yesterday afternoon to get this picture showing the crowd where I'm boondocked. it looks like an RV Park instead of BLM land. The Arctic Fox Is easy to spot because even though I'm in the middle of this mess I'm still kind of by myself with no one around me.
I had a good night last night because I didn't hear any contractor generator's running close enough to me to be a problem. I did hear one running off in the distance but fortunately I was nowhere near them so it wasn't a problem.
I went to the Walmart this morning and picked up a few groceries, it's literally less than 10 minutes away which is great for me because I'm really terrible at "stocking up". I keep a shopping list on my phone but I still end up finding things I need two or three days after going to Walmart.
Now when I'm in Quartzsite and the nearest Walmart is in Parker about 30 miles away then I'm a lot more careful about my shopping but I still end up going there a lot more than I should.
Since I'm happy where I'm at it looks like I will be here for Thanksgiving. I'm on BLM land so I can stay for up to two weeks if I want to and so far I haven't found a reason to leave so it looks like I'll be celebrating the Thanksgiving day holiday right here in Lake Havasu.
From what I understand it's actually improper to call where I'm at "Lake Havasu" its actually Lake Havasu City, Lake Havasu is a nearby lake. I figured I would clear that up just in case someone with knowledge of the area might think I was boondocked in a Lake..... which I would never do on purpose.
It was another beautiful day today with temperatures in the mid-70s. There were a few wispy clouds in the normally blue sky, but not enough to affect my solar panels because even though the sun is low on the horizon I was still fully charged by 10:30 this morning.
my view of the sunset last night. It looks to me like were getting some of the smoke from those terrible fires in California
