Is the bronco suitable for full timing?

Well, the cloudy, rainy weather is upon me, and I'm glad I have an electric hookup because with the mid-50s in the daytime for a high and low 40s at night, which by the weekend is supposed to get down near freezing, it's nice to have an electric heater going instead of the furnace.

I walked over to my normal Pima County Fairgrounds boondocking area yesterday, and just standing there looking at that big, empty three or four-acre plot of land almost made me homesick. Hopefully, this current weather system will get the heck out of town, and I'll be able to move over to the boondocking area, and happy days will be here again.

Now, if I were in the Arctic Fox, none of this would be happening. This chilly, cloudy, rainy system that's going through Tucson would be easily boondockable in the Arctic Fox, and I've done it many times.

But the bronco is not set up for, nor was it ever designed to be, a full-time RV. And because of the way it's designed and built, I don't know if it could ever be a comfortable full-time RV, with the operable word being comfortable. But, if you recall, I bought it just to run around the Colorado mountains in the summer on my mini-vacation, and it was just fine for that purpose because, by the time, I was getting tired of putting the top up and down, my mini-vacation would be over and I would be on my way home.

If I were younger.... much younger... so young that I couldn't get a driver's license, the bronco might be semi-tolerable. But the older I get, the less tolerant I am of discomfort. And since I don't think that's going to change, I need a comfortable truck camper I can boondock in that's a lot more airtight, has more than 400 Watts of solar panels, more than two 100 amp batteries, and a radiant propane heater instead of this goofy, extremely noisy, propane wasting factory furnace.

The way the bronco is set up right now, it would be just fine for living in an RV park with hookups because that's what I'm doing right now, and I'm comfortable. And if I needed to boondock for a few days, like on my mini-vacations, I would still be fairly comfortable. But for boondocking without limits, and staying where I want, as long as I want in comfort, the bronco simply wasn't designed to do it.

Despite what others say, I think it's just a coincidence that the Tucson Sheriff's office opened up a sub-station at the Pima County Fairgrounds campground shortly after I started coming here. After all I don't think looking like a homeless bum is against the law.... But maybe looking like a homeless bum while living in a truck camper, might be at least a little suspicious.

All of you expert birders like myself will immediately recognize this bird as a Ring-necked Sea Eagle, and your first question would probably be, what's a Ring-necked Sea Eagle doing this far from the ocean? Global warming? Defective GPS? Not the brightest Eagle in the nest? "The correct answer is "the Bat-flu." Unfortunately, it appears the governor of California has mistaken this harmless Eagle for a Bat and has declared that all Bats or any birds resembling Bats have to mask up or be shot... So naturally, this caused all California resident Sea Eagles to flee.

Hearing the news, the President of the United States immediately issued a statement and is quoted as saying, "California's new law is sensible, prudent, and tastes like chicken. And furthermore won't cost the taxpayers a single penny. I am encouraging Congress to make it a Federal law and allocate three trillion bazillion dollars for eliminating all birds or people that look like Bats."..... Batman was last seen packing his bags.
