It feels good to be traveling again

I drove into town this morning and took a few pictures of the train station and the old La Castañeda hotel, also known as the Harvey House.  I took pictures of the Harvey House the last time I was here, but I only took pictures of the back.  This time I went around to the front and took pictures of where the Amtrak train lets the people off.

I really do love the old buildings of the West.  Because of the mostly dry weather and low humidity the old buildings seen to hold up better than they do in the South.  And almost anything to do with the railroad holds up really well because they were better off financially and they built their buildings to last.

I decided to stay another day here at Storrie Lake state Park for no other reason than it's comfortable.  I can't hang around here too long though because it's supposed to snow Friday, [so they say] so I'm going to leave tomorrow morning and get a little farther south.

I've been looking at the weather around southern Arizona and it seems to have cooled off some since I got back on the road.  It looks like I could get down there next week  sometime, and the weather would be tolerable. The daytime temperatures where I'm at now are just fine but the nights are getting down to freezing or a little below so nights are requiring some heat.
