It's going to be a busy weekend.

A cloudy but comfortable day today. I kind of like cloudy days, it often makes pictures turn out better if you're taking pictures outdoors, and my pictures need all the help they can get.

I went to the closest Home Depot this morning to buy some bits and pieces to modify the little Beta 250s carry rack on the back of the Arctic Fox, and got to see a couple of interesting things on the way there, none of which I was able to take a picture of.

The first thing I drove past was an Amazon building, I think they're called a fulfillment center but I'm not sure, it could've been an office building for all I know, but it was gigantic. There were hundreds of cars in the parking lots, and by the size of that building folks must have a long way to walk to work no matter which lot they were parked in. I wanted to pull in and take a picture of it but with my one track mind Home Depot was all I could think of at the moment so I figured I would stop on the way back and take some pictures, but as luck would have it I took a different way back home.

Just down the road from the Amazon building is what's known as the aircraft boneyard, which is on Davis Monthan Air Force Base, where unneeded Air Force aircraft are moth-balled and stored then either scrapped or put back into service when needed. The road I was on which was S. Kolb Rd. kind of goes right through the middle of it all, and it was indeed an incredible sight to see especially for an Air Force brat like me, that was raised on Air Force bases. But there again I didn't get a picture because there was no place to pull over and stop, and the traffic was really bad.

I keep meaning to take the tour of the boneyard but it never seems to work out for me because their always booked up way ahead of time, and I'm too lackadaisical about my future to plan that far ahead.

All this week I've been noticing RVs pouring into the Fairgrounds and I assumed there was some kind of a gathering going on because they were parked in a different area than I'm at. But I just found out today that it's actually an RV show that's going on this weekend. I can't believe my luck, I'm camped about 100 feet from where a dog agility competition is being held Friday Saturday and Sunday, and about 100 yards away from me what looks like a pretty large RV show is on the same days. It looks like I'm going to be doing a lot of walking this weekend.
