Hanging from the outside mirror on the truck you can see my long sleeve flannel shirt that I wore to Walmart yesterday morning, yes it's that chilly in the morning, I'm sterilizing it by leaving in the sun. Since I'm in the desert to sterilize it properly I have to take it back inside just before it catches fire.

Another hot day today, it got up to a bit over 100 Which Is way past my comfort levels without air conditioning even in the low humidity of the desert. But it only gets that hot for a few hours a day, and I know if I really want to I can pull the Arctic Fox across the Street and stay at a hookup site, but I'm getting used to it so it's not so bad.

As hot as it is I have to make sure I get anything I want to do outdoors done before lunchtime because after lunch it really starts getting hot. I don't have to imagine what it's like in the Arizona desert areas in the Summer because back when I was semi retired and used to travel just for the fun of it I was in Phoenix, Tucson, and even Yuma in the summer time and you don't know the meaning of the word hot until you've been in those places in July and August.

September is no picnic either, some consider it worse because not only can it be 110°, it's the monsoon season so it can also be 80% humidity, and with the humidity that high the swamp coolers that pass for air conditioning in these desert areas don't cool so your better off outside standing in the shade than you are in your house with swamp cooler running.

Of course I won't be around here long enough to experience any of that again because I'll be doing my best to head North or at least higher in altitude before too much longer.
