Turns out there's actually three semi trucks that haul this dog and pony show around.
Another windy day today, the weather report tells me I'm getting steady 25 mile per hour winds with gusts up to 40, that probably explains why it's no fun being outside. The temperatures were comfortable, and the humidity was in the teens, but the wind made it feel colder than it was, so needless to say I didn't do very much.
Fortunately there's not much of importance that I actually have to do anyway. I've never been one to make up rules for myself to follow, I figure there's all kinds of other people making up rules for me to obey, why should I make even more rules that limit my freedom and prevent me from living the way I please.
A few miles down the road from Walmart is a big new Safeway grocery store and I think I might go there to buy my Christmas dinner because they might have some options available that Walmart doesn't have. I've compared prices from Walmart and Safeway in the past and there's really no comparison, Walmart is cheaper on virtually everything. I have a Safeway card that gives me a discount on some items but even the discount price is not as cheap as Walmart normally sells the items.
I of course will buy things for my Christmas dinner that I would never buy on a regular basis, some because they're too expensive, like smoked salmon, or lobster for instance. And others because they're not good for me, such as drinking a quart of Southern Comfort non alcohol vanilla spice eggnog every day, mmmm that stuff is good, that's why I only buy it on holidays, it's so good it's addictive.
It's great to get a break from my normal meals of hardtack and gruel, at least living this close to a Popeye's has given me access to more red beans and rice than I normally get but still the best holiday food is home-cooked, and setting on your family's table.
The Clydesdales are leaving, heading for a show at a local casino.
Loading them up into their air-conditioned luxury accommodations. For those of you that have had troubles getting a horse into a horse trailer, you'll be happy to know that these horses load up without a second of hesitation.
The Clydesdale Dalmatian mascots are the last to load.
Saying goodbye to the littlest member of the Budweiser Clydesdale team.
