Kind of cool outside today. It only got up to 65 and along with the clouds that hid the sun most of the day it was definitely a long sleeve shirt kind of day.
The motorcycle dealer called me yesterday and told me the bike won't be here until Wednesday. I'm not sure why it takes that long since it's coming from a warehouse in California which isn't that far away, in fact the last time I looked Arizona shared a border with Southern California.
It seems like whenever I've had to deal with a distributor it's a frustrating and drawn out process, I'm hoping this won't turn out to be that way but my past experiences don't give me much hope that this will turn out any better.
I was surprised to find out that FedEx is bringing the motorcycle to the dealer apparently trials motorcycles are light enough that the FedEx guys can load and unload it with a hand truck. So at least I have some faith that the motorcycle will get here once it gets on the truck, my concern is will it ever get on the truck.
Since I've already gotten one excuse as to why it wasn't shipped out Friday like it was supposed to have been, I figure that I'm only one or two excuses away from it getting mixed up with the quickly approaching holidays and not getting here till next year.
But that could be the pessimist in me talking. Maybe I should look on the bright side and say that at least I'm sitting in the sunny Arizona desert, nestled in the comfort of the Arctic Fox, plugged into shore power with all the free heat and air conditioning that I need. about two miles from a Home Depot, grocery stores, and fine dining, "McDonald's, Denny's, in and out Burger".
So what's the big deal if I have to wait. I know people here, I'm friends with the guy that runs the place, I'm surrounded by friendly well armed people so I feel perfectly safe, after all when's the last time you've heard of a terrorist attacking a gun range, even their smarter than that.
