As I was driving through Colorado Springs today I took this picture of the Garden of the gods.
I made it to Trinidad, Colorado today which is only about 17 miles from the New Mexico border. I often stay here overnight since the Walmart is right on the highway and there's always other RVers here because this Walmart welcomes overnight stays.
I don't know how far I'll go tomorrow but it won't be very far. I'll probably hole up at a New Mexico state Park where I can boondock for free for a couple of days to rest up from the rigors of long-distance travel.
My Andersen fifth wheel hitch has performed admirably so far in my travels, and I cannot imagine why I would ever go back to a regular fifth wheel hitch. If it has any shortcomings I haven't found them yet, and even if it did I think I could overlook them because of how safe this hitch seems to me. I spent a lot of time worrying about my old fifth wheel hitch coming unhitched for some reason, but that never even crosses my mind with the Andersen hitch.
That's pikes Peak in the background
