Labor Day weekend preparation

Clicking the pics might remind you of giggling kids getting ready to go camping.

Getting ready for a Labor Day camping trip. Dad sets up the tent in the backyard, to make sure all the pieces are there, as my granddaughter stares out the window wondering why poppa is always taking pictures of everything.

I'm starting to notice a few yellow leaves in the neighborhood, which is expected since it is September now and September is the normal start of Fall at this altitude. I like seeing the leaves starting to turn because that's a sign that Fall is on the way, and that's my favorite time of year.

My family is going camping this weekend, and I'm going to stay here and keep an eye on things. I do enjoy camping, but camping on a Labor Day weekend doesn't appeal to me at all. I feel so fortunate that I can go camping while everybody else is at work, so I don't have to deal with the thundering hordes of humanity and the holiday campers that inundate Colorado taking advantage of the last Summer holiday.

Since the family will be gone, that should give me plenty of time to ponder my decision about whether to travel in the little Bronco this winter or not.

It should be pretty quiet in the neighborhood since a lot of folks here have RVs and/or boats, so I'm assuming a lot of the neighborhood will be taking advantage of this long holiday weekend, and there won't be many folks left in town which will give me lots of time for relaxing and thinking.

I think if the kids have as much fun camping out as they did playing in the tent in the backyard, there going to have a great time.
