Another problem I've seen with voice to text software is that sometimes (okay, lots of times) it just can't get word usage correct...most often with there/their/they're and your/you're. It's a minor glitch and easily fixed, though...assuming the user is somewhat grammar literate.

Yes mine has problems with that also. Sometimes giving the software more context to what you're saying seems to help out. But for the most part I have faith that the folks that read my blog are very intelligent and will figure out what I'm saying despite my mistakes.

I understand the shortcomings of the software. I live in a part of the country where everyone, including me, speaks with a rural Southern drawl/dialect and tend to slur words and run them together. You should see what a mess the voice to text software makes of that! It works better if I adopt a Northern generic accent and use standard English...oh yeah, and enunciate clearly. That's tough to do when you are not used to it.

I understand perfectly, I was raised in the South with both my parents being born in Georgia, so I have a bit of a drawl myself.
