What can I say? I've still got some leftover Knight pictures
I just checked the weather so it looks like I will be leaving the City of Rocks tomorrow morning. Tuesday is predicted to be pretty windy, and Monday morning appears to be a little breezy but nothing that would prevent me from pulling the Arctic Fox, especially since I've only got a short distance to go.
I figure it's only about 110 miles to Truth or Consequences [T or C] so I should hopefully be able to get there before lunch because the winds are supposed to pick up later in the afternoon.
Today has mostly been packing up and getting ready to leave. Since it's been kind of dusty while I've been here I sprayed the moving bits of my fifth wheel hitch with some spray oil so hopefully it will hitch up easier. I have found that when the hitch sits for a long time it doesn't want to close and lock up properly. But when I spray it with any kind of oil it seems to work okay. And that problem seems to have some correlation to the amount of windy dusty days it's been sitting through. I think this summer I will take the hitch apart, clean off all of the old grease, and lubricate it with some kind of a dry lube that hopefully blowing sand and dust won't stick to.
Even though I've enjoyed my stay at City of the Rocks State Park it will be nice to be at a new place with a different view. It will also be refreshing to be close to shopping again. There's a Walmart and restaurants in T or C so I don't have to eat my own cooking everyday. The downside of that is it's too easy to spend money when you're living close to a town so I'll bet its going to cost me a lot more to be there than to be here.
