This picture shows what I I'm talking about when I say if you get a quarter of a mile off the road it's not as crowded and there's plenty of room. My drone is hovering directly above the Arctic Fox and I'm about a quarter of a mile from the interstate and there's less and less RVs the farther you get from the interstate.

Thank you for the pictures of the crowds and distances.

Glad to do it, I'm hoping people will get a little taste of what's going on in Quartzsite and maybe come out and participate one day, it may be good or it may be bad, it may or may not be somebody's thing, and it may look fun or not, but one things for sure.... There's nothing else like it in the world.

In all the years I went to Quartzsite in January I never went to the big tent. Just not my thing. Visiting with friends was my thing. Now they are there without me and all I can do is read their blogs. Life changes somehow keep happening even after retirement.

It makes me feel sad that you're not here. Even though I'm not a very gregarious person I understand why most people are. I look around and see all the little groups of RVs either in a circle or in a line, they put out their little desert signs so they can be found, they put up American flags, and club flags so they can be seen, and wait for other members of the group who meet here every year, to trickle in over the next few days.
