Another weird bird hanging around the campground, I named him Bigfoot for obvious reasons.
I've been thinking that maybe I've been too hard on the weather around here. It's possible I've had a pessimistic attitude and that's causing the weather to seem worse than it really is. After all happiness is in your mind and you can make yourself happy, or miserable just by your outlook on life. So I've decided to change my outlook about what's going on with the weather, and in doing so create a positive vibe that will affect my Yen and my Yang in a beneficial way.
What a great day it is to be alive. I woke up this morning to the pitter patter of rain drops on the roof of the Arctic Fox and it pittard and pattered for the entire day, which gave me plenty of time to relax in my comfy easy chair completely oblivious to anything stressful going on outside. Later on I went for a relaxing drive into town and got a very pleasant surprise. As I approached the very high, spindly, bridge that connects Padre Island with the mainland I found that the fog was so thick I didn't even realize I was on the bridge. In fact I couldn't even see the guard rails much less the horrifying heights that I was driving over. it turned out to be the most pleasant drive I've had going over the bridge since coming here.
When I got home later that day I was surprised how wet my coat was considering how little time I actually spent outside. I had been planning on washing my coat but now nature had given my coat a natural organic cleaning saving me the trouble of doing it later. I also noticed how shiny my truck looked after the cleansing rains had washed off the protective crust of sand and salt.
This gave me the idea that maybe I could let nature take care of all my washing needs. So tomorrow when the rain starts, as it surely will, I will hang all of my dirty clothes outside and let the rains clean them in the morning, knowing that by afternoon the winds will be high enough to blow them dry. what could be more natural than that? Come bedtime I will be able to sleep peacefully knowing that I've not only saved a ton of money but quite possibly saved the earth. theboondork
