I slept right through the actual sunrise.....no surprise there, but it was still pretty when I finally got up.

I drove up to Albertson's, the local grocery store that's only a couple miles away from me, and bought a few things that I was short of and stocked up on some more canned food. I'm getting a bit leery of going to stores and getting around crowds not because of Coronavirus, but because of the Flu that's raging in this area at the moment.

I'm leaving here Sunday morning which is fine with me because I've done everything that I needed to do when I came here, and I'm ready to get back to boondocking near a small town somewhere so I don't have to deal with busy roads and busier stores.

I don't know exactly where I'm going yet but my three likely choices are, Wickenburg, Congress, or Quartzsite. Wickenburg is the most likely because there's some good motorcycle riding there. I like Congress but it's a long way to go shopping. And sooner or later I'll end up in Quartzsite I just don't know if I want to go straight there from here.

Yep leaving is on my mind also. Rent runs out Tuesday night and the temps are getting in the high 80s and low 90s. Time to move north for better temps. Big Bend NP has a notice on their site that all camping sites are filled by mid morning and they expect it to be like that through April. again. Lots of folks out now days. And spring break starts March 5 for two weeks. Looks like it might get crowded in a few popular places again.

Thanks for reminding me about spring break I had forgot all about it. I don't think any place I'm considering going will be affected by spring break, I think spring breakers tend to stay away from anyplace that would attract a crowd of old geezers. But I will definitely stay as far away as possible from Lake Havasu about then.

It's too bad about Big Bend being so crowded, that's the reason I don't go there when I'm near that part of Texas. It looks like popular places that everybody wants to see are becoming less and less interesting to me. And I don't find that to be a problem at this point in my life because I've been to almost all those places anyway, so I figure that me not going again and again taking up space makes it easier for someone who's never been there to find a place to stay.

I find that I'm just as happy nowadays parked out in the desert somewhere under a shady Saguaro away from the traffic, the crowds, and the lack of elbow room, that are SOP at anyplace that's popular with tourists and retired folks.
