It's still hot, and it looks like that's not going to change for a while. The ten-day forecast calls for the mid-90s every day, making me wish I could throw a jacket in my truck and be on my way to the high lonesome.


My truck was repaired today as if you can call replacing a glow plug as a repair, so it passed its mission inspection as if a glow plug had anything to do with emissions.


I've been fooling around with the solar panels, and I think I've sorted all their problems. So I hooked them back up, and they're charging as they should, so now I can move on to other things.


The folks that bought the little Bronco put it on their truck yesterday afternoon and drove away. Even though I've only owned the little Bronco for about two years, it made an impression on my life and helped make some good memories.

The little Bronco taught me that I could live much lighter and simpler than I was in the Arctic Fox. But, of course, without spending time in the little Bronco, I probably never would've figured that out, or maybe I would've downsized a little bit and then had to do it again in a couple of years. But the Bronco showed me that I could live considerably smaller than I've been living and still be perfectly comfortable.

But mobility was the main thing. Being able to hop in the little Bronco and go wherever I wanted to go without stressing over how to get there, can I find a place to stay when I got there, will I accidentally get on a dead-end road. And all the other things you have to worry about when towing a trailer were meaningless in the little Bronco because I knew it could go anywhere the truck could go. And being able to drive the speed limit instead of trailer speeds was a bonus because even though I don't travel very far when I'm going somewhere, I can get there earlier, which gives me more time to enjoy my new boondocking spot and less time behind the wheel.

So I can thank the little Bronco for proving that I could not only live a lighter, simpler life but enjoy it even more than I enjoy living in the trailer because I no longer have any stress or worries when traveling.

Left over picture of yesterday's Swallowtail Butterfly. Despite the pretty wings, this is really a weird looking creature. His eyes are almost the size of his entire head, and he has a drinking straw for a mouth that's almost the length of his entire body... I sure am glad these things aren't mosquitoes.
