Yes, you probably know what those stalks are and you are being coy. Common mullein. Used as torches by the Romans, and in the Americas, the leaves were used as shoe linings for moccasins....I never saw them until I went to NM and points west and north, growning all along the roadside. So I got curious.

Yes I knew their name, but I learned a lot from you about their uses, so something good came from it all.

The politicization of COVID and almost everything that is happening has certainly eroded faith in the media and government. One has to seek out facts for themselves and live with those decisions. You are right to do your own research and decide accordingly.

Thank you Larry. Just like you, I feel that everything about the government has been so politicized that almost no one can be trusted. But at least the individual states have been able to make decisions for themselves, at least up to a point, so I have more faith in the individual States health departments than I do with anything having to do with the federal government.
