Yet another beautiful early fall day today, high 70s in the daytime, mid 50s at night, a great time to be in Colorado.
I haven't been doing much lately, not that there's nothing to do, I just don't feel like doing it. Having a one track mind like I do means that sometimes my mind goes off the track which leaves me not knowing what, if anything, I should do.
I've found this frequently happens at major changes in my life when I have to get off one track and get on to another. And the anticipation of that change of direction leaves my mind wandering aimlessly in a state of limbo until I'm forced to make a decision before the train leaves the station.... With any luck that will be my last railroad metaphor.
What all that meant was, I still haven't figured out where I'm going to go this winter. Usually by this time, which is less than a month before I leave Denver, I would have a pretty good idea what area I'm going to go. It wouldn't be deeply etched in stone yet, but of the two or three choices I have one will stand out slightly better than the others so I would at least be leaning in that direction. But so far, of the two areas I'm thinking about, Lake Mead Nevada or Padre island Texas, neither one has jumped out as head and shoulders above the other.
Also neither one of them sound all that great during the coldest part of the winter, I think I would have to go way further south in Texas, or south of Phoenix to be comfortable in January and February, which begs the question of why not go to Padre island in November and then west to the Phoenix area when it gets cold in Texas?.... Good grief! Now I've got three things to think about, I'm screwed!!!
Infrared photo of an old Colorado mine? Or is it a model of an old Colorado mine?
